Peace on earth. Peace in our homes. Peace in our mind. Oh, how we long for peace. Peace often depends on our circumstances, our feelings, on other people and if they in any way send us spinning, there is no peace.
However, scripture gives us hope in Philippians 4:6,7 (note our verses). And we have the privilege of talking to God personally about EVERYTHING. He will give you peace, a peace that passes understanding. But that chapter goes on in verse 8 and tells us to “think on things that are true, honest, just, pure and lovely.” Satan loves to attack our minds. Don’t let him play games with your mind because he will try to take that peace away from you and and try to take your focus off from God and onto unsettling thoughts in your life. And it’s our thought life, not circumstances, that determines whether we have peace or not.
So, keep thinking on those things mentioned and verse 9 says, if you do these things “the God of peace shall be with you.” The choice is ours. I hope your day will be filled with peace.
