We are told to be joyful. But how can we when we turn on our TV and see all the evil that is going on in the world?
We are told to serve the Lord with gladness and come before His presence with singing. But how can we sing when our hearts are so heavy?
We are told to be thankful and to praise and bless God’s name. But how can we when our body is full or pain or trials and trouble surround our path?
Yes, we are told to do all these things in Psalm 100. But the third verse describes how we can do all these things or why we should do all these things. We have to remember who God is and what we are:
The Lord, He is God. He is the One that made us. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. (As His sheep He knows our name, He protects us, He provides for us, He loves and cares all about us).
Verse 5 reminds us that no matter how difficult life may get; God is good and His mercy is everlasting. He will always be with us; He’ll never forsake or leave us. That’s the truth that has endured for generations and will continue to do so, NO MATTER WHAT!

Beautiful reminders, I remind myself daily God is God and I am not. I won’t understand His ways when they go against my thoughts. So I must Trust and rest in God and thank Him for grace, mercy and everlasting comfort.
