As the days progress in this coronavirus time, I’m afraid many may be losing their joy and peace and not seeing any hope of it coming to an end soon. My prayer for you is simply taken right from scripture. It’s one the Lord blessed me with this past week.
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
As a believer in Christ, there is a key to how we can abound in hope and it’s found in verse 4 of the same chapter.
“For whatsoever things were written in earlier times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
So, you see, God is “the God of hope,” and the more we know Him (and we will as we read His Word) the more we will be encouraged and have hope (because of who He is) and we will be filled with joy and peace once again.
I can think of no better place to turn than to the precious word of God in these trying and uncertain days. May God bless you as you fill your life with God’s word.
