Oh, my dear friends; how can I ever thank you for all your prayers, cards, concerns over the past week. Wow, how things can change so rapidly. June 6 started out as a perfectly normal day and ended up with me on the floor of my kitchen having a heart attack and then on June 9 I had open heart, 4 bypass surgery. I am back home, had a good night’s sleep; just dealing with new meds which I always seen to be intolerant of.
I just had to share what was on one card I received. It says it all for me and I hope it will be a blessing to you as well:
Five Things God Wants You to Remember In Trying Times
- You’re never, ever alone.
- Nothing takes Him by surprise.
- When you’re weak, He’s strong.
- He’s the God of new beginnings.
- His love never gives up on us.
And to top it off, just look at this awesome verse: so applicable to my situation: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
I am awed by God’s goodness to me; how He orchestrated every detail and is now bring healing to my body. I love Him so much and one day I’ll be with Him in heaven, but apparently He’s having me wait a little longer.
Because this happened so quickly it was also quite the reminder that none of us know the hour or day that we may take our last breath. I implore you to examine your heart and trust Him as your personal Savior if you haven’t already. He stands ready to forgive and receive you as His child.
Thank you all again and God bless your day.
Thank you I needed this today.
Praise the lord your doing well,my prayer’s of day and night has been answered, praise jesus.
Im glad your doing good, can”t waite to see you
in church again.
It is good that you are at home recovering You will have to take it easy for a while. Maybe you can draft another book. I wish you well as you recover.
