When God slows you down, He always has little blessings hidden along our pathway. For 3 days I watched as one more bud on my beautiful orchid plant (that my daughter gave me for Mother’s Day) slowly opened. Not only was it another of God’s beautiful creations coming into full bloom, but it was a good reminder for me. There are so many things that can tip our world up-side-down. Yet God is always there to hold us up, to comfort, and to strengthen us.
As that bud slowly opened to a beautiful blossom, so God works in our lives even when we don’t see how or why. It may take time, but He has a perfect plan for each of us. Right now, I’m just learning to take one day at a time, and waiting for the day a new bud may blossom in my life!
“Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth, and teach me; for you are the God of my salvation; on you do I wait all the day.” Psalm 25:4,5
OH, Marlene – we love you and wish we could be there to hug and comfort you. And, yes, when he slowed me down, after feeling frustrated, I was wondering what HE had to teach me in that season? Great things coming your way . Love, Lu Anne
