Are you like me? Do you get frustrated over all the evil that’s going on and the injustice along with it? On top of that, we may start thinking of our own problems and wonder, “Why?”
So many times I have to come back to Psalm 37. There are several words in the first 8 verses that give us some very helpful and important instructions: Just take a look:
V. 1 – Fret not because of evil doers.
V. 3 – Trust in the Lord
V. 4 – Delight in the Lord
V. 5 – Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him.
V. 7 – Rest in the Lord; fret not
V. 8 – Cease from anger, forsake wrath; fret not
V. 9 – Wait upon the Lord
Wouldn’t our stress level go down and even our blood pressure if we would follow this advice? I hope you will be able to read the complete section from verse 1 – 9 in Psalm 37. I love how this chapter ends:
“But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD, He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.” vv. 39, 40.
Why not claim this as your own stress reliever?
Amen
