I procrastinated long enough! It was time to “attack” my little storage shed in my back yard. Although much is gone from my garage sale, it still holds file cabinets full of old material and other containers with pictures, etc. that needed to be discarded. But oh, what blessings; what memories! So many blessings from the past. As I read notes, letters and cards, they all brought back precious memories of people we ministered with or minister to; and others whose path we briefly crossed.
I don’t think we realize how much our lives touch others and what an influence we have on them for better or worse. I want to challenge myself and yes, even you, that we will never take relationships lightly; that we’ll do all we can to live a godly life before them and be a testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ. Even those that we briefly come in contact with, we never know how much a friendly smile or a kind word may influence them even for eternity.
“Be thou an example of the believer, in word, in conduct, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” I Tim. 4:12
I’m so thankful for friends and acquaintances of the past and those of the present. Perhaps you, too, will take time to remember and determine with me to be the best influence and example for them to follow to the glory of God.
Treasure our friendship
