My crab apple tree has given me such joy this year. For the last 4 years I thought it was dying, as there were only a few blossoms on it each year and even the leaves looked unhealthy and several branches were dead. But this year it is in full bloom and appears healthy.
I can’t help but be reminded that I was once dead–dead in my sins and had no interest in the things of the Lord. But Ephesians, chapter 2 has such good news. It says:
“God has made us alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins. But God who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive with Christ, (by grace you are saved).” Eph. 2:1,4,5.
I’m not dead; I’m alive in Christ Jesus and as I walk with Him, God says:
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in his season; his life also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3
What’s your tree like? Dead or alive? Fruitless or fruitful? I hope it’s alive in Christ and fruitful.
Your story on th tree is great.
I know you have been busy, as I have.
