The Lord never ceases to amaze me with the “little things” He allows me to see on my early morning walks. They always make me smile or even laugh to myself. One misty, foggy morning as I neared a wooded area at the end of a street, I thought a young deer was standing, staring at me. I saw eyes and a nose through the foggy area. The closer I got it didn’t move and I realized it wasn’t a deer at all. The eyes and nose were just dried blossoms on some weeds! A silly thing, yes; but I needed a laugh that morning. Sometimes when we’re just in need of something to smile about, God will provide just that. That’s just the way He is. What a great, loving God we have.
Keep your eyes open — you never know what little blessing He may have planned for you today to make you smile.
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits” (blessings to just make us smile)!
Psalm 68:19.
