“Work, work, work! What’s the use?” We may say. “It’s never good enough. It’s never enough. I’m worn out. I’m just tired of it all. It’s never-ending!” Ever been there? This can apply to secular work as well as spiritual work.
Today is Labor Day, and many companies appreciate their employees and give them a day off. Others may not be as fortunate. Sometimes we may even get weary in the service for the Lord. It’s not easy to keep going day after day and then add hours of serving the Lord. But let me encourage you to never quit or give up. It is worth it, and God will bless you. Let’s remember:
We are laborers together with God. (1 Cor. 3:9)
Your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor. 15:58)
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… that they may rest from
their labors. (Rev. 14:13)
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we
shall reap, if we do not lose heart. (Gal. 6:9)
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus! Have a great day.
