We don’t like to admit it, but I’m afraid most of us do it more often than we think–worry – about everything and anything, big or small. And what good does it do for us? Absolutely nothing. In fact, it robs us of peace, robs us of joy, can rob us of good health and it robs us of a good night’s sleep.
While at my daughter’s last week I spotted a framed saying. It said, “Worry – assuming responsibilities God never intended us to have.” Phil. 4:4-6. Boy, ponder that one! We have no reason, or better yet, no right to be going around worrying. Why? Because we have a sovereign God who is in control of everything.
So:
Don’t worry about your trials. It’s not your responsibility. God is in control.
Don’t worry about difficult situations. It’s not your responsibility. God is in control.
Don’t worry about your health. It’s not your responsibility. God made you. He is in control.
Instead: Leave those worries with God and get a good night’s sleep.
Also remember Romans 8i:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God.” Even though not all things are good, God has a purpose and He will use it for your good. So, don’t worry or fret. Get rid of that thorn.
