I’ve had answers to prayers this week; have you? I know some of you have. Isn’t it strange though, that His answer often surprises us? Sometimes we say or think, “He really did answer; I didn’t think He would!” But maybe He answered in a totally different way from what you prayed, and it was so much better than we could ever have imagined. Aren’t you glad that we have a God who does hear us when we pray, and that He does answer according to what He knows is best for us?

Some of the words in the great old hymn, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” say:

O what peace we often forfeit. O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

What a privilege we have – to carry everything to God in prayer!
