As I was on my daily morning walk one day last week, all of a sudden I heard the loudest squawking in the top of a tree. As I watched, more black crows, one by one, were landing and perching on the branches. It was a rather eerie sight. It was like they were waiting for the opportune moment to swoop down on some prey.
It reminded me of our adversary, Satan, who walks about seeking whom he may devour. He does this with both the non-Christian and the Christian’s life. He will do all he can to prevent people from believing and coming to Christ. He will do all he can to keep Christians from living a godly life, to destroy their joy and peace, to spoil their testimony for the Lord.
My encouragement to both is to resist the devil and draw near to God. He is ready to save the unbeliever and He is ready to strengthen and help the Christian to live a godly life.
Don’t let Satan play games with your mind. Resist that “o’ black crow!”
