It’s a time of year to be thankful for all the Lord has blessed us with – family, home, friends, country, church – and the list goes on. It’s easier to say, “thank you” when things are going well. I’d like to suggest this year that we include a thank you for the hard times we’ve faced – for lessons learned, for how the Lord provided, for how the Lord took you through a trial, for how He gave you strength when your strength was gone and perhaps your health was failing. (We also, ought to be doing this all year long!)
Scripture says: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Rom. 8:28. Not all things are good, are they? But God uses ALL things FOR our good – to draw us closer to Himself and make us more like His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. That should resound with a “Praise the Lord,” and a great big, “THANK YOU, LORD!”
What will you thank the Lord for this Thanksgiving Day”
May you each have a blessed Thanksgiving. (I’m thankful for each of you, too)
