Birds are fascinating, aren’t they? They are so much fun to watch. There is a cardinal that comes to my feeder every day. As he is taking one seed at a time, he is constantly looking around, watching for any predator that could do him harm or try to take his spot from the feeder. He usually manages to get his fill.

What about you, my friend? Do you get your fill when you are reading the Word of God? It’s so easy (I know from experience) to get side tracked. Oh, yes, we have a predator (the devil himself) and he likes to take our mind in all sorts of directions rather than concentrated on the Word itself. It may be thinking about all you have to do that day, worrying about a financial need, a family situation or health problems and on and on it goes. Or maybe you can’t keep your eyes open! Just don’t give up. Keep going back. It may help to write out one of the verses or write a short thought on what spoke to your heart that day. Oh, how we need that spiritual food every day. Don’t let Satan take that from you. Stay alert!
