Have you felt the new modeling clay that they have for children today. It’s so soft and easy to handle and mold. It’s always fun to come up with some crazy looking animal or a funny person to fashion. We can create whatever we come up with in our minds.
Have you ever really taken the time to consider how uniquely each of us have been fashioned? Yes, I said, “fashioned,” because we are no mistake; we have each been created by our heavenly father. Consider what David wrote in Psalm 139:13,14, 16
“For you have possessed my inward parts: you have covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise you: for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows right well…Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.”
So, what does this mean for each of us? At conception we were a human being; either male or female as God ordained and formed us, either black or white or whatever other nationality we were destined to be.
Also, look what God told Jeremiah in Jer. 1:5.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.”
Do you see what this means? God knew us before He even formed us. Wow! How great is that? We are a special creation thought about in God’s mind even before conception in our mother’s womb. And, as God had a plan for Jeremiah’s life, He has a plan for each of us. They are all different.
The sad thing today is that the world tries to throw questioning thoughts into our minds to make us think we should be something that we aren’t. Don’t be lured by the lies. You are loved, and you are special in the eyes of the Lord. Everyone matters the same to the Lord. And as He loves us, we, too, are told to love one another regardless of the color of our our skin.
It’s time our country starts burying these lies and opening our hearts to the truth of God’s Word. Many don’t like to hear words like this; but until our nation turns back to the Lord like it did in the days of our founding fathers; we are on a downward spiral with things only getting worse and worse.
So, this week while negative darts are thrown your way, remember how special you are to God; and if you are His child, “you are created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10
Praise and thank God (our Creator) for making you who you are!
