It never seems to end! Every time I turn around there is a new problem, a trial, a difficult situation. Is that true in your life? You deal with one thing, but there always seems to be something else to take its place. And once again we ask, “What am I going to do now?” How easy we forget how God took care of our previous situations – how He provided financially, protected, gave peace and hope, how He led and brought us through those darkest hours. So, if He’s done it before, won’t He do it again? Isn’t He the same God today as He was yesterday? Just say, “Remind me, dear Lord,” and trust Him to do it again.
Let’s also be reminded often that all we have belongs to God. He let’s us enjoy things for a season, but there is far better ahead!
The greatest reminder we need is that of our salvation:
Be reminded of where God brought you from.
Be reminded what it cost Jesus to be your Savior.
Be reminded that Jesus chose the road to Calvary to die in your place.
(Words from “Remind Me, Dear Lord” by Dotti Rambo)
The chorus to this song says:
Roll back the curtain of mem’ry now and then
Show me where you brought me from and where I could have been.
Remember I’m human, and humans forget, So, remind me, remind me, dear Lord.
