Rather Safe Than Sorry

These mushrooms caught my eye on one of my morning walks last week. I’m not an expert as far as knowing if these are edible or not; but after checking with Google, I’d say, “Not!” So, if you walk in the woods and find mushrooms, be sure, if you take them home, that they are not poisonous. If there is any question before easting them; be safe rather than sorry, and don’t eat them.

Perhaps there are times in your life when you see other things and aren’t sure if they’re something you should partake of or get involved with. You may not be sure if it’s safe or if it’s something that could poison you spiritually. If there is ever a question, the first thing you should do is check it out and see what the Scriptures have to say about it or seek godly advice from a pastor or mature Christian. If there is still a question in your mind, don’t let Satan get a foothold on your life and spoil your reputation and testimony. Just remember this and say, “I’d rather be safe than sorry,” and also remember these words from from the Bible in James 4:7,8:

“Submit to God. resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God

and He will draw near to you.
