Last Thursday was the day we had our community group of ladies’ meeting at my home. As usual, I put my sign on the door, “Ladies, just walk in.” However, I forgot to unlock the door! How crazy is that?
Jesus says, “He is the door.” I’m so thankful that door is never locked. He stands with arms wide open ready to welcome anyone who comes to Him in faith; believing He is the Son of God who gave his life on the cross so we could have everlasting life. And, oh my, the blessings that are inside that door: blessings and promises we can enjoy in this present life and things in heaven that right now we can’t even begin to imagine.
“But as it is written, eye has not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.” I Cor. 2:9
As I unlocked and opened my door we enjoyed some sweet fellowship. Just imagine being with Jesus, not only walking with Him now; but one day walking through the door to heaven and enjoying all that’s there. Oh, what glory that will be!
