I’m sure you noticed, as I did, that there wasn’t a lot of color on the trees before the leaves began to fall this year. They were really rather dull; that is, before we finally had what we call a killer frost. That cold temperature killed the flowers but it also brought more beautiful color to a lot of trees.

When God uses “killer frosts” in our lives He has a reason – He is doing it to bring out the beauty of the Lord Jesus Christ. He wants us to trust Him more, to lean on Him for guidance and peace. He wants the “color” (the beauty) of the Lord Jesus Christ to be seen and demonstrated in us.

These “frosts” are not pleasant but just remember what God wants to do with you – His child. He loves you. He wants your life to be beautiful for His glory. So, ask God to change you and make you more like Him.
