In a Moment of Time

We never know what can happen from one moment to another, can we? How quickly our lives, our plans, our health can change. I was reminded of that last weekend while my daughter, Christine, and I were visiting two of her children and another grandson of mine in Lynchburg,VA. At the end of a church service we were attending, I suddenly had a medical issue and was taken by ambulance to a hospital. First things ruled out — heart attack and stroke (just those words kind of send chills, don’t they?) Many other tests also came back negative. Praise the Lord! So–what happened to me? Don’t really know. My guess – it was a side effect from a prescription of mine – not unusual for me. As it is a once-a-month pill, it’s still in my system and I’m trying to be careful for the duration.
This could have been a completely different scenario; I realize that and that’s why I’m writing this post. Our days are in the hands of our God. We don’t know what the next moment holds for us. Life is uncertain. Death IS CERTAIN whenever that may be. The big questions we need to ask ourselves are: “Am I ready for that day?” “Do I know I’ll go to heaven when that day comes?” My dear friends, Jesus loves you, He died for your sins and rose again, making it possible for us to join Him in heaven some day. We all are BORN sinners and Jesus is the only way to heaven. He gave us victory over sin and death.
Scripture says:
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..”
“Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts…” Heb. 2:3; 3:15
Won’t you believe and trust Him today? It is the most important decision of your life. Don’t wait another moment. It may be too late.
