The third verse of the song, “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow,” says:
I don’t know about tomorrow, it may bring me poverty; But the one who feeds the sparrow is the one who stands by me. And the path that be my portion may be through the flame or flood; But His presence goes before me and I’m covered with His blood. Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand; But I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.
We certainly are living in uncertain times, aren’t we? But there is one thing we CAN be certain of and that is God NEVER CHANGES. He is the same God who: loves us, cares for us, provides for us, protects us, hears our prayers, gives us peace and hope.
He is the One who does hold tomorrow and I’m so glad I’m in His hands. Can you say that? In these unsettling days do you know you are in His hands? Have you ever trusted Jesus as your Savior and have that hope of eternal life no matter what else may happen? Today could be that day of salvation for you. What’s your decision? Message me if you’d like to know more.
“Behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they?…But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matt. 6:26, 33 (check out the verses in between)
We need to keep our eyes on the Lord in these troubling days and remember: He will not fail us. (“His compassions fail not.” Lam. 3:22)
