My little project for the last 3 weeks can be summed up in this one word, on a block of wood, which sets on top of my buffet in my dining room – Grateful! Just walking around my home, inside and out, has impressed upon me more and more of the things that I am grateful for. But one fact remains – I could have, and be blessed with everything the world offers, but nothing is more important to me than having Christ. The spiritual blessings He showers me with every day are priceless. The temporal things are all going to fade away some day, but not the things of God.
I am grateful for this awesome, almighty God we have. He’s not a god who is unreachable and uncaring; but He knows all about us (just read Psalm 139).
Another portion of the Psalms touches only the surface of who He is and all He means to me; but I want to share that with you today: It says:
“I will love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer: my God, my strength, in whom I will trust: my shield, and the strength of my salvation, and my high tower.” (WOW!) “I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,” Psalm 18:1-3a. Hope you will stop and think about all that today.
Nothing else can compare to our God. How grateful I am!
