How are you at remembering names? I hope better than I am. I have to work at it. I’ve been trying to remember names of the people I’ve been meeting at our new Y facility. While walking around the track there have been opportunities to ask people their name and conversations sometimes include how we’re going to remember each other’s name. This week I’ve added at least 3 new names to my list.
But aren’t you glad that God never forgets our name? I love John, chapter 10, as it tells us about our “Good Shepherd.” Look at some of the facts found in this precious chapter:
He calls his own sheep (us) by name.
He leads us.
Jesus said, “I am the door, by me is any man enter in, he shall be saved.
He layed down His life for the sheep.
Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me.
He gives us eternal life and we shall never perish. No man can pluck us out of his hand.
He has our name written down in heaven if we are his child, and won’t it be wonderful to be with Him and to praise the most wonderful, awesome name ever – JESUS! Aren’t you glad He know your name?
