One of my favorite stories in the Bible is about Esther, found in the book that carries her name. The word “God” is no where to be found in this book and yet God is seen in every chapter as He orchestrates every event that takes place. How He brings the young Jewish girl to be queen and uses her to end up saving her people is amazing.
We often don’t realize how God is working in our lives either. Of course we can’t see Him and and we often wonder why things are going the way they are until later on we look back and say, “Oh, yes, God was working all the time.”
I’d like to challenge you this week to look for ways that God is caring for you, and ways that He is at work in your life and leading you. Perhaps also praise Him for the things that don’t happen because He is in control.
Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might: and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.” I Chronicles 29:11-13
What an awesome God we have.
