What an awesome sight it was! The streetlight in the church parking lot behind my home was shinning on the ice covered trees making them glisten in the dark night. The darkness was transformed into a picturesque scene simply from that one large light. It was beautiful.
Jesus (our “one large light”) is the light of the world. He shines in the darkest of our nights. When we receive no answers to our problems, no relief in sight; Jesus gives us glistening hope to strengthen our faith. No matter how dark the night may seem, Jesus is always there. He is our light in the night times of our lives. He can turn our trials into something beautiful because of what He is teaching us and how He is growing us to be more like Him.
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
So, let’s not fear or dread the dark trials, but look for the beauty that God is trying to reveal in us.
