Does anyone have a recipe for blackbird pie that you are anxious to make? I have all the free main ingredients you need. You just have to be agile and quick to swoop them up from my back yard. Feel free to take as many as you wish! Bring whatever weapons you think might help in catching your prey.

Can you tell I’ve “had enough” with numerous black birds that bombard my bird feeders and suet holders and scare away my other pretty birds every day? They are hogs, leaving little or nothing for my other birds to enjoy. So, come and help yourself!

These black birds make me think of Satan and his tactics. He doesn’t want anyone feeding on God’s Word and will do anything to chase us away from enjoying and benefiting from all that’s in it. He’s a spoiler and a destroyer. I have often chased the black birds away myself so the smaller birds could come. We can chase Satan away, too, as scripture says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

Don’t let Satan keep you from God’s word – it may mean putting on the armor of God because we wrestle not against flesh and blood (Eph. 6:11,12), and then be determined to do what II Tim. 2:15 says:

“Study to show yourself approved unto God; a workman that needs not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the Word of truth.”
