I’m finally getting back to being able to do some walking after a couple of my surgeries putting a damper on that for far too long a time. On my first “round” at the Batavia mall one day last week, I heard someone call my name. We stopped and talked a minute, but then continued to walk together. She was walking a faster pace than I had been doing, but I kept up. She was an encouragement to me as I didn’t think I could do it.
Do you know someone that you can be an encouragement to? Someone perhaps struggling in their spiritual walk with the Lord? Can you come along side that one and encourage him/her to keep pressing on? because the rewards and benefits will be worth it all.
Satan loves to see quitters; but let’s not give him that satisfaction. We are victors in Christ. The going may be tough; but the tough keep going!
Think about these verses:
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow:…And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Eccles. 4:9,10a,12b
A Christian friend is great to walk with; but never forget we also have the Holy Spirit in us who is also walking with us. Now that’s quite the cord!
