A Rolling Pin with Bumps!

As much as I hate to do it, it’s a must! After almost 6 months since hip surgery my upper leg muscle is too tight and needs to be stretched, according to my doctor. So one thing I’m using is what I call “a therapy rolling pin with bumps on it!” The harder you press and roll it down your leg the better the results will be. I hate it; and it hurts, but it’s necessary if I want the strength back in my leg.
Have you ever felt like God was using “a rolling pin with bumps” on it in your own life? Perhaps you’ve let something slip in your walk with God and He is trying to stretch you once again to make you stronger and more like Christ. Sometimes it hurts, but He knows what is good for us and what is needed.
Hebrews 12: 10,12 says, “Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.”
My suggestion: Don’t complain, but yield to His loving hands. He knows what is best.
