In just a few days and we will start another new year. Many look forward to what lies ahead and others may feel it will only be filled with the same old frustrations and struggles.
As Christians, we are a new creation in Christ. As such, perhaps we need to have a new outlook on life itself. Yes, life is often very difficult, but think about all we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. Those frustrations and struggles we can cast on Jesus. Don’t let past sins, mistakes, wrong decisions, attitudes, etc. keep you in bondage. Give them all to Jesus, ask for forgiveness and then let Him carry you to heights of victory and glory. Make this a truly new year with your walk with the Lord.
No matter what may lie ahead for us, we can step into 2025 with joyful anticipation knowing that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. He will never fail us.
Besides all this, we can also step into 2025 with an anticipation that this could be the year the Lord Jesus Christ will come again. None of us want to be ashamed when He does come, so let’s all be those new creations in Christ this year, leaving the old behind, endeavoring to live holy lives, growing to be more and more like our Savior.
