It’s kind of the “kick off day” to summer – Memorial Day. We plan our picnics and family outings and many enjoy an extra day off from work. But I wonder how many of us really take the time
during the day to actually remember why we have this day in the first place.
Our country wouldn’t be the same if it hadn’t been for all those in our military forces who gave their lives defending our precious country and the freedoms we enjoy. So, I hope you will pause and thank God for our country as you remember the fallen.
Our country has been blessed by God; let’s never take that for granted. She still needs defending today and God’s blessing more than ever.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” I Chron. 7:14
