Have a blessed and joyous New Year, everyone! Although there is nothing wrong with saying, “Happy” New Year, I have chosen not to use the word “happy,” because happiness depends on our circumstances and most of us will go through something this year that won’t be happy. But regardless of what’s ahead, we have a marvelous Savior who brings joy to our hearts even in the midst of “unhappy” situations; peace in the midst of turmoil; comfort in the midst of our losses. Keep trusting Him this year, walking one step at a time, with your hand in His and looking up in anticipation that this could be the year (even the day) the Lord Jesus Christ comes back. Wouldn’t that be joyous?
“…forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus….Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say Rejoice.” Phil. 3:13,14; 4:4
