One of the features on my trip to Kentucky a few weeks ago was at the aquarium. You could choose to walk a rope bridge over the shark tank. I actually did. It was shaky and a little swaying, but hanging on to the sides kept me going.
Most of us have some kind of “sharks’ swimming around our lives waiting for us to fall off the bridge and into their waters. But praise God our bridge doesn’t sway; it is strong and true. It is Christ Himself. Though the sharks swim beneath us, He will carry us over those frightful and dangerous waters. We just need to keep walking and keep trusting with our hand in His.
“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” Psalm 5:11,12
Don’t focus on the sharks; focus on the Savior!
